Biographies
Sarah Hart [B.A., Dip.Mus., M.Theol (hons)] did post-graduate studies in Hebrew Bible at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She is an independent researcher, and a member of the presenter team for the Continuing Faith Education programme at the Catholic Institute of Theology. She is a professional violinist, working with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. In her spare time she enjoys tramping in the New Zealand bush.
Anne Musso is a lecturer in Religion Studies with the Faculty of Education and Creative Arts, Central Queensland University, Rockhampton. Anne's research interests include feminist theology, gender studies and religious education. Her doctoral thesis, Rainbows of possibilities, focussed on the theologising of a small group of Australian Catholic women during the period from June 1994 to January 1997. Participants (including Anne) had come together to suppport one another and share stories of their experiences as women members of the Catholic church. In the thesis, Anne explored the presence of difference in these women's nomadic feminist (re)negotiations of dominant canonical Catholic discourses.
Kathleen Rushton lives in Christchurch, Aotearoa New Zealand. Her Ph.D. is in the Gospel according to John in which she continues her research. She tutors for the Ecumenical Institute of Distance Theological Studies and enjoys working with a variety of groups to make sound scholarship accessible.
Elaine Wainwright is Head of the School of Theology at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She is a scholar of the Second Testament with a particular interest in gospel studies and their interpretation from a multidimensional perspective which combines feminist, ecological and postcolonial perspectives. She was a founding member of the Women Scholars of Religion and Theology and a member of its initial executive until 1998. She has been a member of the editorial board of SeaChanges since the inauguration of the journal.
Judith Woodward held the position of Lecturer in History at the University of Western Australia for 31 years, from 1968-1999. Since her retirement she has completed a Master of Theology by Coursework through the University of Notre Dame Australia (graduating June, 2004) and from the commencement of 2005 will be enrolled in a Doctorate of Pastoral Theology.
